In this episode, I’m talking to Geordie comedian Rahul Kohli, at his home in Manchester. He’s one of the most exciting new comedians on the circuit and has definitely distinguished himself from his peers by daring to cover a lot of difficult social and political subjects on stage. Rahul’s debut show, Newcastle Brown Male, has been critically acclaimed and led to invitations to appear on the BBC. In summer 2016 his show was given a prestigious slot by The Stand comedy club in Edinburgh as part of the annual Fringe Festival held in the city. In this interview he discusses political correctness in comedy, getting bad reviews, his favourite comedians and what he hopes to achieve in comedy over the next five years. You can find out more about Rahul Kohli by following him on Facebook and Twitter.
